The Islamic State is one ofthe world’s most violent and dangerous terrorist groups. It advances its apocalyptic goals through terror and genocide. Through propaganda, enabled and amplified by social ‘media, the Islamic State encourages homegrown and international attacks on innocent civilians throughout the world. San Bernardino, Paris, and most recently Brussels demonstrate the reach, effectiveness and harm the Islamic State can eause by inspiring and supporting homegrown terrorists, To defeat this treat and protect our country, we need the tools to both stop the attacks, and to understand,
