POSTER CONTEST GUIDELINES

Poster Due date: Friday, April 1, 2016, at the English Lab.

The poster must be an original creation of the contestant.

The English Day theme must be conveyed and appear in the


illustration.
English Day Theme: William 400 Years of Literary Art

The poster must be presented on a standard white poster board with


the following information:
William Shakespeare; 400 Years of Literary Art
English Day: April 5, 2016.

The artist can use water paints, pastels, color pencils, magic markers,
etc.

The name of the artist should not appear anywhere on the poster. The
professor will assign each contestant a reference number to identify
each entry.

The winning poster will be used on the English Day Program and/or
other materials.

An extra grade will be given to the winner of the Poster Contest.

Criteria of Evaluation:

The poster includes all required elements (THEME) as well as


additional information, such as English Day, and the dates. See
Guideline #5 above

All graphics related to the topic (THEME) can be read 3 feet away.

The poster is exceptionally attractive in terms of design, layout,


neatness, and appeal.

The overall organization and use of color and space make the poster
interesting.

There are no grammatical/mechanical errors on the poster.
