Learners used their knowledge, skills, and understanding to complete a research and presentation task. Learners then used note-taking skills, as learned in literacy, to answer the 5Ws and 1H. Learners used their knowledge of essay writing to complete a 3 paragraph essay (differentiation used - one paragraph for LS and second language learners). Students used their understanding during our exit point; to present, demonstrate and explain information about their chosen Scientist and their invention. Certain applications in ICT were used. The. Seniors are studying the IPC unit, The
Time Tunnel: chronology and timelines. They have been looking at this through the multiple perspectives of history, geography, international and art. Students researched their own personal timeline with the help of their family and created a living timeline to share with classmates (history).
Students then researched art from a
chosen historical era. Using the style/technique/medium from that era, they expressed their own emotions, observations and experiences, thus practising their art skill and connecting it with history.
