Ms. Marusich is in the student teacher program at UCI, and | have been her mentor teacher since the beginning of this 2015-2016 school year. As her master teacher for the last five months, | have gotten to know Ms. Marusich and appreciate the qualities that she brings to the teaching profession. (One of Ms. Marusich’s standout qualities is being responsible. She has cemonstrated this in her ability to manage her UCI responsibllies and her teaching responsibilities with seeming ease. | have also noticed, while working with Ms. Marusicr, is that she communicates well with all those around her: showing respect for the learner, working well with the parents of our students, being a great team member with both her UCI co-teacher and with me. Ms, Marusich has also communicated and worked well with substicutes, turning the day into a co-teaching model. Another strength that Ms. Marusich demonstrates is being extremely well organized, which is so critical in the teaching profession. Another quality that | appreciated in Ms. Marusich is her ability to promote thinking in our students. Asking questions that make students think, that go deeper into the Depth of Complexity levels make for students that are growing academically.
