Vaught Eye Associates is committed to serving the


community and is proud to work with the Conway and
Aynor Lion's Clubs to provide care for patients that
might not otherwise be able to have their eyes examined
or order new prescription eyeglasses. We feel that giving
back to our community is important and we are honored
to work with our local Lion's Clubs. For further
information regarding this eye care program, please
contact your local Lion's Club directly. Our office has
also participated in providing eye exams and glasses for
homeless patients and for patients in under privileged
countries.

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to


finding treatments and cures for muscular
dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding
worldwide research. The Association also

The Association for the Blind and the Visually Impaired


Charleston (AVBI-Charleston) is the only privately funded,
non-profit dedicated to supporting children and adults living
with blindness and visual impairment in the state of South
Carolina. Our primary service area is Dorchester County,
Berkeley County, Charleston County and surrounding areas.
They also offer scholarship assistance for childrens guide
dogs grooming and care.

The South Carolina Association of the Deaf, Inc. (SCAD) is a


statewide organization working with and for the Deaf and
Hard of Hearing people in South Carolina. SCAD is the South
Carolina affiliate of the National Association of the Deaf
(NAD) and focuses on promoting equal treatment toward deaf
and hard of hearing citizens in education, employment,
legislation, healthcare, and other fields pertaining to the Deaf
and Hard of Hearing citizens of South Carolina

The mission of SCAS is to enable every


individual with autism spectrum disorders in
South Carolina to reach their maximum potential.
They offer support, and believe that people with
autism should be treated the same as every other
person.

SCEDP serves South Carolina residents who have a


hearing or speech challenge. The equipment in our
program includes enhanced phones and alerting
devices (which you can get for free). People who
qualify for the program are provided free equipment to
use for as long as they remain in the state.
