Good morning class!

Good morning maam!

prayer)

Let us all put ourselves in the

presence of the Lord

Before taking your seats, pick up

first the pieces of papers around you
and also under your chairs and then
throw it to the trashcan.

(Students will pick the papers up)

You may now take your seats.

(Students will now take their

seats)

Ill be checking now your

attendance. Say present once your
name is called.
Who can tell me what we had
discussed last time?

(Student) We discussed about the

Technical Theater Vocabularies.

Very good.
2. Motivation

I have here two sets of sentences.

Now I want you to rephrase these
sentences.

(Student)
-The professor teaches the
student.
-The students are taught by the
professor.
-The dishes are washed by John.
-John washes the dishes.

Very good! Now, I want you to

identify the subject verb and object
in each sentence.

(Student)
-The professor (Subject) + teaches
(Verb) + the student (Object).
-The student (Subject) + are
taught (Verb) + by the professor
(object).
-The dishes (Subject) + are

washed (Verb) + by John (Object).

-John (Subject) + washes (Verb) +
the dishes (object).
Very good class. What did you
notice in the sentences?

3. LESSON PROPER
a. Introduction

b. Interaction

(Student) The subject and the

object were replaced and the
meanings of the sentences were
changed.

Yes, very good. These sentences are

related to our lesson for today and
our lesson is the Two voices of
verbs.
What are the two voices of verbs?

(Student) The two voices of verbs

are active and passive voice.

When do you say that the sentence

is in an active voice?

(Student) The voice of the verb is

active, when the subject performs
the action.

Exactly. How about passive voice?

(Student) The voice of the verb is

passive, when the subject is acted
upon by the object of the verb.

Yes youre right. Now, I want you to

answer the following in your
notebook.

(Student)
Present tense- action goes on
now.
Past Tense- action happened in
the past.
Future Tense- action will happen
in the future.
Present perfect tense- action
happened and may still go on.
Past perfect tense- two past
actions, one happened before the
other.
Future perfect tense- action will
be considered in the future, by
which time it will already have
happened.

c. Integration

Very good class. These are the six

main tenses in the voices of the
verb. Give a sample sentence in
each tense.

(Student)
Present tense
-Once a week, Tom cleans the
house.
Past tense
-Sam repaired the car.
Future tense
-John will finish the work by 5 PM.
Present perfect tense
-Many tourists have visited the
castle.
Past perfect tense
-George had repaired many cars
before he received his mechanics
license.

Future perfect tense

-They will have completed the
project before the deadline.
Very nice. All your sentences are
grammatically correct. Now, change
the sentences into passive voice.

cleaned by Tom.
Past tense
-The car was repaired by Sam.
Future tense
-The work will be finished by John
at 5PM.
