Ms. Cheryl Larson, Vice President
Midwest Business Group on Health
125 S. Wacker Dr, Suite 1350
Chicago, IL 60606
Dear Ms. Larson:
Midwest Business Group on Health is of great interest to me for an internship
opportunity. I learned of this position from a fellow graduate student and my major
advisor in the Department of Exercise and Movement Science at Lewis University,
where I am earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise and Movement Science
with a minor in Fitness Management. I am especially interested in joining your staff at
Midwest Business Group on Health because your mission is to advance leadership,
collaboration and knowledge among employers to improve quality and cost
effectiveness of health benefits, health care and the health and productivity of the
community. My passion is to promote new programming in the worksite for health and
wellness and implement them to employees.
I am currently a senior, so therefore a numerous amount of coursework in my major
has been completed. That knowledge can directly be applied to this internship. This
coursework has included Anatomy and Physiology, Health, Weight Training, Sport
Psychology, Nutrition, Kinesiology, Sport Management Field Experience, Exercise
Physiology, Facility Management, Sport Performance Enhancement, Exercise
Programming and Motor Behavior. These courses have given me a substantial
academic foundation upon which I will be able to build my internship experience and
my professional career.
During my last year at Lewis University as an undergrad, I became Vice President of
the Sport Science Club and have been an active member since. My work as a Vice
President has given me the opportunity to instill healthy and fit lifestyles by providing
the community and students with opportunities on and off campus to engage in
multiple activities throughout the year. I also work with Sports Tutoring as a coach
giving softball and volleyball lessons from ages 6 and up, which has taught me to
create lesson plans for a sport specific athlete and also learn to take responsibility on
scheduling and conducting appointments with new and existing customers. I believe
my skills and experiences will contribute to your team at Midwest Business Group on
Health.
I believe that my education and career goals are an appropriate match for an
internship and would welcome the opportunity to meet with you. It is best to reach me
at 708.261.5795 in the afternoon or evenings. Thank you for considering me for this
internship opportunity and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Jacqueline M. Radzikowski
