1. What are the companys strategic technology/innovation goals?

One of the most important issue is connected car technology for Porsche.
They try to build more close relationship between driver and vehicle. To
achieve this goal Porsche made an agreement with AT&T Inc. It is an
American multinational telecommunications corporation. AT&T will offer
wireless connectivity on AT&T's 4G LTE network in certain 2017 Porsche
Macan, Boxster and 911 models. Porsche's Connect Plus services, powered
by AT&T, are either standard or an available option on a number of models
and will include a Wi-Fi hot spot, navigation, news and weather alerts and
other infotainment services. Customers will be able to connect up to 5
devices to the hot spot. Also, Porsche Company give importance to electric
car issue. So they are working on a big project about electric car. They call
this project Mission E The all-electric concept car was first unveiled at the
2015 Frankfurt International Motor Show. Porsche announced it would take
the next step and produce the Mission E. This will be the company first allelectric car marking a major milestone in the division history. Previously, it
introduced plug-in electric hybrids such as the Panamera S E-Hybrid. It
must be emphasize that the Mission E will have more than 600
horsepower (or 440 kilowatts in system power) and about a 310-mile
battery range. According to experts the battery will reach an 80% charge
in around 15 minutes, about twice as fast as Tesla Motors supercharger,
because it has doubled the typical 400 volts of energy used by electric
vehicles. In other words, Porsche can do electric cars better than Tesla.
But it must emphasized that the Mission E wont hit the road until at least
2020.

2. How high is the companys R&D budget?

Fiscal year 2015 was the most successful one for Porsche in its 85-year
history.
The brand also recorded the fifth-consecutive record year, with both sales
revenue and operating profit increasing by 25 per cent when compared to

2014.Deliveries were increased by 19 per cent with more than 225,000


Porsches sold globally. Porsche generated around 21.53 billion euros in
revenue and they spend 2.15 billion euros into research and development.
