positive outlook and have enjoyed the involvement of this years media specialist.

promotes a quiet area where students can study and test in programs like iReady. Not only do
they help with test like this, but they will help with major state test at the end of they year.

Technology Enhanced Classrooms

Other teachers can also reserve the media center. This allows it to be used as a technology
infused classroom. Students may also check out the laptop cart, iPad cart and other resources
make a great lesson with techology.
Evaluation
Julia P. Bryant is evolving in several ways. The location has constant traffic of groups and
caters to many meetings and outside groups looking for an inviting place such as; PTO, Georgia
Southern students, mentors and administrative meetings. After conducting interviews and
observations, it was determined that the center is ran appropriately and professionally, especially
the various event the media specialist open up for the school and community. Mrs. Wiggins and
Julia P Bryant have adapted to meeting the needs of the Bulloch County technology plan which
states, The vision of the Bulloch County School System 3-Year Technology Plan is to provide a
seamless, efficient network of collaboration that enables each learner to be actively engaged in
the learning process by providing technology tools and resources that maximize student
achievement. (Wilson, Charles Bulloch County School District Technology Plan 2014-2017.

Julia P. Bryant main focus is to support teacher and student growth in the terms of
technologies that can be helpful in the classroom. In the past years the centered stayed the same
just appearing as a meeting place. With a lot of the new Common Core requirements the media
centers has been making great leaps with technology and new books. The center has received a
multitude of equipment- Automatic Dye Cut Machine, Cold Laminator, 8 iPads, 3 Chromebook
Carts (60 Chromebooks), 16 Sets of Smart Response Systems, students computers, etc. with
these things being added the center has been ample to support and improve technology
integration greatly. More teachers are able to increase technology use at the same time by using
Google Classroom, iReady, Web 2.0 tools, and various websites which boost collaboration
amongst the academic area. In consideration to the mission and center goals it seems as though
Julia P. Bryant media center is ensuring that these technology fields are met and promoted.
Students who were interviewed also stated they enjoyed being involved in extracurricular groups
and activities.
Overall, Julia P. Bryant media center is ran effectively and efficiently. The center is has a
great outlook with all the new programs that will grow. The technology team is not utilized as
much as I think they can be, so do recommend the school using them more. Many of the
members on the technology team has some type of technology background and education. I
would like to see more teacher getting involved in technology rather than when they are
mandated to participate. I would like to see things such as Tech-Tuesdays take place in the
school. This will help keep the teacher collaborating and utilizing their technology skills. I
foresee the media center growing in a positive direction.
