Poison gas

the idea of poison gas began On April 22,


1915, German forces shock Allied
soldiers along the western front by firing
more than 150 tons of lethal chlorine gas
against two French colonial divisions at
Ypres, Belgium. This was the first major
gas attack by the Germans, and it
devastated the Allied line.

zeppelins
zeppelins are huge air crafts and they
aren't really deadly but things like
bombs and such can be dropped
from them. German Count Ferdinand
von Zeppelin who pioneered rigid
airship development at the beginning
of the 20th century.

u-boats
German U-Boot, abbreviation of
Unterseeboot undersea boat. these
vessels were very eective and deadly
and were capable of defeating many
enemies.

convoys
a group of ships or vehicles traveling
together, typically accompanied by
armed troops, warships, or other
vehicles for protection. this method
started being used in may 24, 1917 by
the British.

machine guns
The machine gun, which so came to
dominate was a fairly primitive device
when the general war began in August
1914. Machine guns of all armies were
largely of the heavy variety and decidedly
ill-suited to portability for use by rapidly
advancing infantry troops.

The aircraft played a pivotal role for all sides
of World War 1 when the conflict began in
1914. Early forms were typically unarmed
and used in the reconnaissance role until
personal weapons were added. From there,
the machine gun was finally fixed to these
aircraft to create the "fighter" aeroplane.
