While reading 3 Nephi 23:1, I could not help but think about why did Jesus say that
we ought to search Isaiahs words. In fact, He commands us to search Isaiahs words
diligently. This shows the degree to which Jesus approves the words of Isaiah. Isaiah
talks symbolically and is all over the place as far as time-periodic understanding goes.
I have difficulty understanding Isaiah, so I concluded that in order to understand the
words of Isaiah, I must pray for the Spirit of revelation to help me understand them
and be patient in the meantime.

March 8, 2016
Today my friend was going through a rough time. She received news from her doctor
that potentially could be devastating. My heart ached for her and I knew that if she
had a blessing, she would feel Gods love for her and will feel at peace. So I
approached her to ask if she wanted a blessing. She quickly said yes. Later on that
evening, my dad and I went to her home. We explained to her and her husband that
Gods power is on the earth today. This power is given to all worthy males to bless
others. We explained that we were given this power and that it would be used to bless
her. We talked for about 20 minutes. It was a special time. I felt Gods love for us and
for her. She felt strengthened. She felt peace and calm. The blessing was beautiful.

My friend came to work with a smile on her face. She looked happy and she told me
that we healed her. She said she went to bed right after the blessing. She slept
peacefully and she was no longer nervous. I told her that all the praise should go to
Heavenly Father as He was the one who blessed her. Yesterday, she was ready to have
a mastectomy and today, she was more positive and has a glow about her. She
profusely thanked me. I reminded her of what was said in the blessing to thank God
herself and to trust the doctors.
I feel blessed to have been part of this experience. She is special. I pray for her a lot to
have a desire to know about Gods church and to be curious and ask me questions. I
also pray to have the courage to be bold.

3 Nephi 27: 13, 14 Jesus tells the people in the Americas that he came into the world
to do the will of his Father, because his Father sent him. These scriptures caused me to
pause. Jesus was perfect. He could have just come to earth, but he was obedient to
God the Father.
Sometimes it is difficult for me to follow the advice of other people. For example, my
family lectures me about going to bed on time. I have seen a big difference when I
follow their advice. Even though I can spend time doing homework, I find that being
more rested makes me more productive. This shows me that it is important to be
obedient not only for physical reasons, but also for spiritual reasons. Obedience is
meant to help us with everything in life.

Sometime I feel like Heavenly Father sends me little messages and is trying to help
me. In 2005, Elder Bednar gave a talk on tender mercies. This talk has been on my
mind because of an event that happened today. My life has been very busy lately, and
my car gets the least priority on the cleanup side of things. It is extremely messy right
now. I had some family in town earlier this week, and they needed a ride to the
airport. I decided to spend a little time cleaning it up to be able to fit their luggage in
the car. A day later, I was at work and a few co-workers decided to go to lunch. It
never happened before, but this time, I was volunteered to drive them. I would have
been embarrassed if I has not cleaned up my car. As simple as it was, it meant a lot to
me. I am grateful for my tender mercies.
