What is CARE?
CARE is an acronym. It stands for

Comfort
Aid
Relief
Energize

What is our goal?


Our goal is to aid and comfort cancer patients in their chemotherapy, radiation
therapy, and recovery process. We also want to help patients gain back the
nutritions they lose while going through the tough process of chemotherapy and
radiation therapy.

What is cancer?
-uncontrollable growth of cells
-spreads through blood stream and lymphatic system.

Lymphatic system: part of the circulatory system and immune system.

Removal via surgery, radiation, chemotherapy.

454.8 people diagnosed with cancer in 100,000 men and women


171.2 people pass away in 100,000 men and women
15,780 adolescents, ages 0 to 19, diagnosed with cancer
1,960 died of the disease
In 2016, estimated 1,658,370 cases of cancer diagnosed in United States

What is Radiation Therapy?


Radiation therapy or radiotherapy, is therapy using ionizing radiation, generally
as part of cancer treatment to control or kill invasive cells. Radiation therapy may be
curative in a number of types of cancer if they are localized to one area of the body.

For our CARE customers, we offer a variety of fruits, vegetables, teas and
nutrients to suit your condition best. For people low on iron and vitamin C, we
would offer a drink with kiwi, strawberries (the most vitamin C rich fruits), and
spinach loaded with iron. To keep our patients less nauseous you can choose from a
select list of herb designed to settle your stomach, such as ginger, peppermint, and
green teas.

What is in it?
This shake has many necessary vitamins including B and C. It also has many
minerals such as iron. CARE also provides stomach soothers which help alleviate
nausea and give you the energy you need to live each day in comfort.
