The South China Tiger population 1950 and 1979

In the early 1950s the South China Tiger population of individuals was at the
4,000s
Over many years the South China Tigers were hunted as pests because they
hunted and stole farm animals.
In 1979 South China Tiger hunting was banned.

The South China Tiger population 1996 and now

In 1996 the South China Tiger population was estimated to be 30 to 80


individuals.
The South China Tiger has not been spotted for over 25 years.
The South China Tiger species is thought to be extinct in the wild!

Answers to my 4 questions
1.It has thick stripes.
2.Its ears have white on the back.
3.It spends time beside the fence because it needs to guard and mark its territory
and it waits there for food.
4.Just like in the wild it marks the edge of its territory.

How do sharks react when they see a bigger animal?


Why do people want shark fins?
Why do people sell shark fins on such low prices?
How do people get shark fins?

What I Learned

Great White Sharks try to eat predators that are bigger than them
Sharks can eat anything at anytime
Sharks never run away from another animal
People want shark fin to trade and make shark fin soup
People bring the sharks up from the water and use little knives to cut their fin
off

What I learned
It is true that there is only about 10 and a bit more Northern
Spotted Owl left in British Columbia.
The Northern Spotted Owl eat Northern flying squirrels, Red Tree
Voles, it also consume birds, reptiles, and invertebrates.
Great Horned owls and Northern goshawks are predator of young
Northern Spotted Owl.
The Northern Spotted Owl likes to live in Douglas-fir trees in old
Grown forests.
The Northern Spotted Owl does not eat plants.

In 2007 WWF estimated a population of 27 to 34 Amur Leopards in SW


Russia.

In the last decade the Amur Leopard population becomes bigger in Russia
with a total of 57 amur leopards!
Russia had 34 or 35 leopards in 2007 before 2015.

People like the leopard fur because it's soft and pretty and very good at
keeping people warm.
The leopard lives in sub-Saharan Africa and China and Russia and other
places.
The leopard eats birds and other animals.
The Amur leopard can run 0 to 8 km/h (50 mph) in 3 seconds
Some leopards kill humans.
Full sprints lasts about 20 seconds for a leopard.
Leopards are about 35-72 kg
Leopards are about 44- 60 inches
The only reason the leopard stops sprinting is to recover and stop
overheating.
