TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS

Lieutenant Colonel Edward L. Wilson retired November 1, 2005, from the position
of Deputy Director of Acquisition Logistics, at the Space and Missile Systems
Center, on Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, CA. He established division
plans, policies, goals and directives. He assessed, and evaluated the status of
Integrated Logistics Support planning in each division’s branch and operating
location. He managed a team of 250 personnel providing total logistics support for
nine program offices with 45 major Department of Defense contracts valued at
86.6 billion dollars.

He is also active in the community and volunteers with AARP, UNCF, El Camino
College and both the Torrance and San Pedro YMCAs, and the Black Barbershop
Health Outreach Initiative.

He has been a dedicated member of Blacks In Government since 2002 having


served in numerous capacities including:

• Served two terms as President of Los Angeles/Long Beach Area Chapter


• Vice-President of Los Angeles/Long Beach Area Chapter
• Corresponding and Recording Secretary of Los Angeles/Long Beach Area
Chapter
• Web-Master of Los Angeles/Long Beach Area Chapter
• Region IX Third Vice-President
• Graduate of the Young Leadership Academy
• Region IX Health and Wellness Coordinator
