CABLE PREPARATION :- ‘Strip off the eable outer sheath, armour, inner sheath, metal tape shield and semi-conducting sree as per the dimension shown inthe drawing. Ensure that free end of the braid extend upto the armour wires. the metallic shileding of the core of the cable, down towards armour for main earthing arrangement. ‘This small copper braid shall be inserted under the jublee clamps being fixed on the armour for main ‘earthing connection. Wrap Copper braided one layer around the armour with minimum 30mm overlapping. Also insert small copper braid under this assembly. Tighten the comp- lete assembly with jublee clamps. The remaining copper braided strip shall be taken out for connection| to the earth point as shown (This arrangement is not required for unarmoured cable) . Apply one layer of mastic sealing tape around the cable outer sheath. Put the earthing braid over it & wrap two more layers. Also wrap mastic sealing tape over the earthing assembly and sharp edge, if any.10, (Cut off core insulation with the help of Nylon string for fixing ofthe lg. At this time take care not to tthe cable condor.
