Abstract
The aim of this experiment is to demonstrate the relation between
the electrical current generated from the galvanic/concentration cell
and the chemical reaction, by measuring the EMF difference
between both electrodes (Anode, Cathode). This aim will be
approached by constructing a galvanic cell with Cu electrode in the
half cell and the other half will have a Zn electrode. As for the
concentration cell, it will consists of 2 electrodes of the same type
(Cu), but with different concentrations of the CuSO4 (aq) solution. By
applying the Nernst equation, we will be able to calculate the
theoretical measurements of the readings.
