Dear Higher Education ePortfolio Committee,
It is with great honor that I write a letter of recommendation on behalf of DeNeatria Robinson's
promise to the field of Higher Education. I have had the pleasure of knowing DeNeatria over the
past two years as a classmate, friend, and colleague. DeNeatria has a clear passion for student
development, social justice, and building student's leadership capacities. Knowing and working
alongside DeNeatria has not only made me a better professional, but also a better person.
Without a doubt, DeNeatrias passion and purpose is student focused. She has proven and
demonstrated her potential consistently throughout her time at Loyola. DeNeatria is a professional
who is student-centered and gives her all to support her students and student staff members. Her
colleagues often recognize DeNeatrias commitment to providing care for the holistic student.
DeNeatria is able to build strong relationships with her students, and often takes the time to get to
know them beyond her position expectations.
DeNeatrias strong ethic of care and compassion allows her to connect with individuals easily, while
also making them feel worthy. DeNeatria is a professional who has a strong desire to help students
understand and utilize their full potential. She approaches students needs and challenges from a
place of absolute care. She takes every opportunity to engage in their personal and professional
development, as well as help them navigate through the adversity of their life. As a peer, DeNeatria
has been vital in my own growth and development. She has encouraged and supported me in
pursuing my personal and professional goals, while doing the same for herself. Her strengths lie in
her ability to make people feel worthy of their own potential and reassuring them that she is there
to support them whenever desired or needed.
Not only is DeNeatria a respected professional and peer at Loyola, she is also a dedicated scholar.
Within the classroom, DeNeatria is known to bring valuable perspectives to class conversations and
dialogues. DeNeatria has a gift for articulating her thoughts and opinions in a way that encourages
peers to contribute their own thoughts and reflection, while tying in class materials. DeNeatria has
brilliant written and verbal communication skills, which have prepared her to prosper in the
professional world.
It is with great pleasure that I have had the opportunity to work alongside DeNeatria these past
two years. During our time together, I have seen her ability to influence the lives of those around
her and grow beyond her foreseen potential. Her strong sense of dedication has prepared her to
make an immediate impact in her future workplace. DeNeatria's future students, peers, and
colleagues are blessed to have the opportunity to learn, grow, and work alongside her, in a similar
fashion that I have been blessed for the past two years.
