Reflection

Evaluation- The
planning for the field
trip was moderately
successful. When I
sat to do the itinerary
I had only a couple of
issues. The actual
field trip is April 1315, will update after.

I was very happy with

the planning of the
field trip. Being the
fourth grade Texas
History teacher, I get
to decide the
curriculum I teach. I
math the teaching
with the destinations
on the field trip and
destinations with
what I teach. This
year I taught more
about La Salles
expedition to Texas
and the sinking of his
ship, The Belle. I did
this because the
rebuilt version of The
Belle is on display at
The Bob Bullock
Museum. We focus
more on the Texas

Revolution rather
than the current
government of Texas.
Therefore I added a
more tours in
Gonzales, Texas, the
sight of the Battle of
Gonzales, and
eliminated our tour of
the Capital Building
in Austin.
I have built a good
rapport with a lot of
the
museums/restaurants
we stop at as I have
been planning this
field trip for five
years. The only
issues I encountered
this year were
moving reservation
times at Mission San
Jose, to ensure we
had a guided tour
and being turned
away from the Cotton
Gin Museum as the
week of our visit is
during the Cotton Gin
Festival.
