LD 28 teaches us about the meaning of the Lord's Supper.

I.

With God
A. In the Passover, God met with His people on the basis of the sacrifice that was offered.

The Table of Fellowship

B. The Lord's Supper is that spiritual meal, which pictures the fellowship we have with God through the
finished, perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.

II.

With Christ
A. When we partake of the Lord's Supper by faith, we experience communion with Him.

B. By faith we experience, we know, we have the assurance that all His promises are for us. A. 76

III.

With Each Other

A. The Lord's Supper also speaks of the relationship we have with one another.

B. The Lord's Supper reminds us to live always in the reality of the covenant.
