EBS Program Consequences

The EBS program is designed to help students succeed in and out of the classroom.
Proper behaviors and coping skills are required. In most cases behavior and
discipline will be handled by the EBS teacher/staff within the EBS classroom setting.
In cases of major infractions/problems, the behavior and discipline will be handled
by EBS staff and Administration with EBS being contacted first by phone, walkie
talkie, or intercom. Students will be given a daily point sheet and have the
opportunity to earn 100 points per day. Their day is broken down into 9 periods
(lunch and free shifts included) with 5 categories focusing on rules and expectations
within each of those periods. Students are expected to attend all classes, and follow
rules and expectations within all academic settings. Students will attend Study Hall
in the EBS classroom during the period when they do not have class or lunch.
Students will spent this period working on missing assignments, homework,
studying or an activity of their choice(all work finished and no classroom issues. If a
student exhibits positive behaviors and attitude during the class period they earn
the designated points for that class period. If they do not, there is a designated
space for the teacher/Instructional Aide to place a code in points area to explain
why points were not received. At the end of the day, students must achieve a
certain percentage of daily points in order to maintain their status in the regular
classroom.
