Title: Sleep Tech


When I worked as a Sleep Tech. I gained valuable information on the effects of the lack
of sleep quality has on a person. I learned how to count Apnea and Hypoxia events. I performed
a variety of sleep studies. HST/EEGs as well as in house studies that included KPSG PSG EEG.
I learned how to check for impedances as well as wen to reference the leads, without waking the
patient.

Title: CNA/MedTech

My responsibilities that were necessary for me as a CNA was to take the Residents vitals and
weight. I assisted the Residents with their ADLs by helping them with their dressing bathing,
grooming, toileting, and ambulatory needs. As well as their socialization skills. As a MedTech I
was responsible for counting the Residents medication before and after my shift. I would prepare
and administer the right medication the right dose at the right time at to the right Resident.

Title: PCT Patient Care Tech


As a PCT I worked graveyard shifts on the Infant Medical Surgical Unit. I gained knowledge of
Pediatric patients in a hospital setting. I assisted the R.N. with sterile and non-sterile dressing
changes. I learned how to change colostomy bags, clean central line sites. I learned how to set up
enteral feeds, as well as how to NP suctioning. I would document output for JP drains and Foley
catheters. I was to notify the R.N. if I noticed any significant changes in the patient.

Title: CNA
As a CNA I assisted the patients who had a hip or knee replacement. I looked after people who
had suffered a stroke, or had a TBI. I learned how to place Foley catheters, and take care of their
oxygen needs. I also performed non-nursing duties that were delegated by the R.N. such as
answering phones, cleaning and taking the garbage out and stocking the facility with the supplies
needed to do our job.

Extracurricular Activities:
I enjoy swimming, meditating watching documentaries, and kickboxing.

Volunteer experience:
As a family we buy the neighborhood homeless shelter items they are in need of.

Personal Goal:
I want to become a Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Furthermore I have gained knowledge of the human mind body and spirit. I have come to realize
in myself that I feel full field in my life when I can help someone else live their life to its fullest
potential.
