Unit 2.2 Final Review

This is our last day of review before a test on Tuesday. We have been studying a chapter
involving news/print terminology. The grammar concepts we learned were direct object
pronouns, indirect object pronouns, commands+DOPS/IDOPS, and impersonal
phrases+infinitive. We will review some of the packet they have been able to work on for
a few days. We will also play a couple games that will help review. This has been a
difficult concept to put into practice for most students. We chose to have two full days of
review before the test after a short formative assessment
Standard/Objective
***Write on board with plan for day
Students will be able to understand and decide what they must review and study to do
well on the Chapter 2.2 test. Students will be able to use class time to prepare in different
ways.
Anticipatory Set (Laptop)Warm-UpPTT on computer (What are at least two things you need to personally
review/study for the test?)
Direct Instruction/Guided Practice
Blue worksheet from review packet. Choose questions of significance, have students write
on white boards and hold up answers. Show correct answer and provide quick explanation.
Dont let this drag out as long as practice on Friday. This does show possible format of
questions on test.
Test Taking strategies:
Think of answer yourself before looking at multiple choices
If you dont know a word, dont stop and get stuck on word, read on to be
able to make an educated guess on entire meaning of sentence or question.
Write a couple notes/rules on your test before you start any questions
If you dont know an answer, choose an answer anyway and mark the
question to come back to it
Independent Practice
Dice Game for review as class/groups...model first
Vocab review game, possibly teacher gamemodel first

****Hand in all remaining work and projects that you wanted to fix or hand in for the first time.
Nothing will be taken after Monday.
