Host: Mainly on host of Cucurbitaceae. Attractant: Cue Lure.

Bactrocera tau
Host: Mainly on hosts of Cucurbitaceae. Attractant: Cue Lure.

Bactrocera sp. near carambolae


Host: A wide range of commercial /edible host fruits.
Attractant: Methyl Eugenol. The specimen was similar to B. carambolae.
Abdominal color pattern didnt match the description.

Bactrocera zonata
Host: A wide range of commercial /edible host fruits including Mango.
Attractant: Methyl Eugenol.

Bactrocera caudata
Host: Recorded from Cucurbitamoschata(Pumpkin) (family Cucurbitaceae).
Attractant: Cue Lure.

Bactrocera diversa
Host: Recorded from flowers of wide range of species in Cucurbitaceae.
Attractant: Methyl Eugenol.

Bactrocera latifrons
Host: Major host of Capsicum and Solanum.

Bactrocera rubigina
Host:Litsea verticillata (family Lauraceae). Attractant: Cue Lure.

Bactrocera nigrofemoralis
Host:Terminalia catappa ( ) (family Combretaceae).
Attractant: Cue Lure.

Bactrocera lateritaenia
Host: unknown record. Attractant: Cue Lure.

Bactrocera cilifera
Host: Recorded from Thladiantha hookeri (Pumpkin)flowers (family
Cucurbitaceae): Attractant: Cue Lure.

Bactrocera apicalis
Host:Trichosanthes wawraei flowers, wild cucumber (family
Cucurbitaceae): Attractant: Cue Lure.

Fruit bagging

Avoid intercrop with alternate host plants in the mango orchard.


Harvesting of fruits as early as possible when they are matured.
Removal and destruction of fallen fruits and over ripen fruits, and
collected fruits should be buried at the depth of 1.5-2.0 feet)

Fallen fruits are collected and put into the black plastic bag, leave
under the sun and use as organic manure after fully spoiled.

Fallen fruit can be used as animal feed.


Male annihilation method
Using Methyl Eugenol or Cue Lure trap.

Protein Bait Spot Spraying, Mix1lit of protein bait and 20 ml of


Malathion or Diazinon or Fiponil insecticide and apply as a spot spray
to the foliage.
