Relevant Clinical Experience

-Obtain and evaluate health/medical history as it pertains to oral health and
treatment
-Complete and assess extra and intra oral examinations for variations and
abnormalities
-Chart and describe hard/soft tissue characteristics
-Chart periodontal probing depths, recession, cal, furcations, and mobility
-Take digital radiographs and interpret bone level, calculus, materials, and
lesions

-Identify need and administer local anesthesia/nitrous/oraquix topical for pain
control
-Scaling and root planning utilizing ultrasonic scaler and hand instruments
-Apply pit and fissure sealants and evaluate success of application
-Complete plaque scores using indices and coronal polishing
-Provide topical fluoride therapy (Varnish and Foam applications) and explain

-Take intra oral impressions, fabricate bleaching trays
-Provide denture, implant, retainer care with education to patients
-Utilize ultrasonic cleaner, package and sterilize instruments
-Establish individual treatment plans and complete evaluation at follow up
appointments
-Present oral hygiene instruction (Tell/Show/Do) and nutritional counseling as
it relates to
the periodontal health of the patient and their overall condition and lifestyle
-Document and record dental procedures and complete billing codes
Patient range: Ages from 8 yrs. to 95 yrs., with slight to advanced
periodontal disease, including gingivitis, NUG, and decay, and presentation
of routine 3/6 month maintenance patients to patients that no dental care for
1040 yrs., health status/conditions varied from healthy to moderate
systemic conditions with some patients having little mobility.
