As my resume indicates, I will be graduating from Shenandoah University in May with my BSN. During my
time at Shenandoah, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and have earned membership in the Sigma Theta Tau
International Honor Society of Nursing as well as Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. In addition to
my academic achievements, I have had the opportunity to gain experience that makes me an excellent
candidate for the position. I completed my senior preceptorship with a float pool nurse, almost entirely in the
Emergency Department at Winchester Medical Center. During this time I was able to provide complete care
for a team of three patients under supervision of my preceptor and also became familiar with the organization
and layout of the unit.
In addition to clinical experience, I will also bring leadership and organization skills to the (unit). During my
time working as a server at Buca Di Beppo, I have become certified as a trainer and worked with many new
employees. This experience has provided me with the ability to work with a variety of different personalities
and also to teach people with different styles of learning. Outside of training, working as a server has given
me excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills that are essential to nursing.
