Brazil is a vast country in South America. In fact, it is the fifth largest country in the world.
It occupies half the area of the content. The capital is Brasilia it is located in the centre of the country
and the biggest city is Sao Paulo.
The country covers an area of over eight and a half million square kilometers. In the East it is
bordered by the Atlantic ocean. In the North by Venezuela, Guyana and Suriname and the French
overseas department of Guiana. In the Northwest by Colombia. In the west Bolivia and Peru .In the south
west by Argentina and Paraguay on the south by Uruguay ;so it has borders with all the countries of
South America except Ecuador and Chile.
Brazil has a population of over189 million inhabitants and people speak Portuguese.
There are mountains called the Guyana Highlands in the north of the country. The highest point is
in these mountains. It is called Pico Da Neblina. It reaches a height of 3,014 m.
