Objective:
This Standard Operating Procedure sets Ramada Resort Camakila policy about
usage of cell phone and applies to all employees.
Purpose:
The terms of cell phone is defined as any handheld devices with the ability to
receive and /or transmit voice, text, data, message without cable connection
(including but not limited to cellular telephones, digital wireless phone, radio
phones, walkie-talkies, telephone pagers, PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants
with wireless communications capabilities), or RIMs (Research In Motions
wireless devices).
Concerns:
While at work, employees are expected to exercise the same discretion
of using the personal call phone as they use with the company phone.
Excessive personal calls during the working hours, regardless of the
phone used, can interfere with employee productivity and be distracting
to others
Employees should restrict personal calls during the working hours, and
should use personal cell phone only during scheduled breaks or lunch
period, in non-working areas.
Other personal calls should be made during non-working time whenever
possible, and all employees should ensure that their friends and family
members are instructed of this policy.
Ramada Resort Camakila is not liable for the lost of personal cell phones
brought into the work place.
The using of personal cell phone in working hours is allowed for
Supervisors Managers
No games to be played on personal phones during working hours
Personal used of company-owned cell phones and / or communication
allowance:
Ramada Resort Camakila issued phones are used for business purpose
only, it is to protect the employee from incurring tax liabilities for the
personal use of such equipment.
Ramada Resort Camakila equipment (including the cell phones) are
expected to protect the equipment from loss, damage or theft.
On resignation or termination of employment, or at any time on request,
the employee may be asked to produce the phone for return inspection.
