As general request during installation,

Make sure that you have internet connection.

Disable any antivirus and firewall during installation and activation.

To Install SolidWorks, use media kit with suitable system (32 or 64bit) DVD, this will auto run
SolidWorks Installation Manager (SWIM):
1- At Welcome screen, select Individual (on this computer). Click Next
2- At Serial Number screen, write SN that you had in SolidWorks SN. Click
Next.
3- The SWIM will check SN and installation version.
4- Two options will appear, Select Continue installing the current SP without
upgrade.
5- Continue the installation till Finish.

To activate SW,
1- Run SW (from desktop icon).
2- Use the option of (Automatically Over the Internet 'recommended').
3- Type your e-mail address, Click Next.
4- License manager will connect to SolidWorks activation server, may be within
10 seconds.
5- Finally it gives you the activated license, click Finish.
