To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Courtney Mognis for over two years and she has proven herself to be an
exceptional individual academically and socially. Ms. Mognis currently has a 4.0 GPA
which is a testament to her ability to understand, comprehend, and apply new
information. She is one of the top students in her class and acts as a model to other
students through her participation, likeability, and hard-work.
For two years, Courtney has assisted me in my class by managing and inputting student
grades, providing students with extra help when needed, and improving the course
curriculum by suggesting class projects and ideas. Nonetheless, Courtneys most
valuable asset is that she is a motivated problem solver. When she sees a problem, she
doesnt wait for instruction on how to correct the situation; she thinks on her toes and
solves it. This is a fundamental skill that many people lack, but one that Courtney has.
As an assistant, her contributions are irreplaceable.

Courtneys career goal is to become a teacher and it is obvious that she is preparing
herself for that now. With her free time at school, Courtney participates in a student
mentoring program that allows for her to give direct instruction to students that have poor
grades in math and science. After school, she goes to St. Pauls Lutheran School and
helps young students with their homework until their parents pick them up. Furthermore,
Courtney loves to learn about other cultures. She was involved in an exchange program
that took her to Japan. Because of this experience, she is interested in teaching abroad.
Finally, Courtney is more than just a student. She is a person of high standards,
outstanding character, and great morals. These are qualities that are rarely seen at her
age. As a result of these qualities, Courtney is a natural leader to her peers and sets an
unwavering example of how to act and care for others. I truly believe that she will be
successful in whatever endeavor that she chooses to undertake in life. It is for the
aforementioned reasons that Courtney Mognis has my utmost recommendation as a
student, but most of all, as a person.
