Should be reinstated to baseball

PETE IS BANNED FROM THE


GAME
Pete is well known for his gambling habits off the field and in the early 90s

while he was Managing and playing 3rd base for the Cincinnati Reds was
accused of betting on baseball, including ones he was playing in. Pete later
denied reports that he ever bet AGAINST the Reds.

REPERCUSSIONS
Major League Baseball is strict on gambling rules especially inside the

game.

Pete was abolished from the game and the MLB, including never being

eligible to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame.

PEDS HGH AND ROIDS


Performing Enhancing Drugs (PEDs) are widely used throughout MLB and

other professional baseball leagues. Mandatory drug testing is distributed

Pete holds the current record for most hits all-time in MLB history, yet isnt

in the HOF.

Being banned from the game also includes no eligibility for Hall induction

ROSE VS. BASEBALL


Rose was questioned in February 1989 by outgoing commissionerPeter

Uberrothand his replacement,Bart Giamanni.Rose denied the allegations


and Ueberroth dropped the investigation.

3 days later the investigation was opened back up

LAWSUIT
Rose continued to deny all of the accusations against him and refused to

appear at a hearing with Giamatti on the matter. He filed a lawsuit in


Hamilton County Common Pleas Court alleging that the Commissioner had
prejudged the case and could not provide a fair hearing.

Rose later lost his lawsuit.

AFTER MATH
In September 1998, Rose applied for reinstatement with Baseball

commisionerBud Selig, but Selig also never acted on it.

On March 16, 2015, representatives for Rose applied for reinstatement with

Selig's successorRob ManfredOn September 25, 2015, Rose met with


Manfred to discuss his request for reinstatement,and on December 14,
2015, Manfred decided to not lift the ban.
