How well do you

know your dogs?

What goes together better than baseball and hot dogs?

Theyre a combination thats purely American. But dont
let that fool you, tastes are every bit as diverse as this
great nationand styles vary by region. Can you name
the home cities of these five dogs?
1. An ode to the Reuben sandwich, this dog comes topped
with melted Swiss cheese and sauerkraut, and is tucked
into a sesame-seed bun.
2. Yellow mustard, relish, chopped onion, tomato slices, sport
peppers (spicy pickled green peppers), a pickle spear, and a
dash of celery salt sit atop a frank nestled in a poppy-seed bun.
3. In this city, they take their hot dogs dragged through the
gardenin other words, slipped into a top-sliced bun and
blanketed with coleslaw.
4. Named for the place where hot dogs were first popularized,
this frank is served smothered in all-beef chili, raw white
onion, yellow mustard, and shredded Cheddar.
5. Nothing fancy here. A hot dog sold from the typical sidewalk
cart is adorned with little more than brown mustard and
onions stewed in tomato paste.
1) Kansas City 2) Chicago 3) Atlanta 4) Detroit 5) New York

20 QUESTIONS FOR:

CARRIE LYNN MANNING

ACTION BENEFITS

Carrie Lynn in her own words: I was born in the area, and lived here until I was 13, when my Dad was transferred to Florida. I spent
almost nine long, hot years in Florida before my family decided to move back to Michigan, and I was thrilled! I was an agent for Allstate
Insurance in Florida, before working in retail when I came back to Michigan. After suffering through too many years in retail, working at
Meijer and Home Depot, I sought out a much better opportunity here with Action Benefits in 2001. I bought my house in Waterford in
2002. My parents have both passed on, and I have two older brothers: Carl, who lives in Novi, and Mark, who lives in Orlando, Fl. I am
not the crazy cat lady, but I do have four awesome cats after recently adopting a pair of siblings from Tonya Hunters sister.
1. If you could share a meal with any
one person, living or dead, who would
it be?
My mom. I have so many questions
and things to talk about with her. I
always thought I would have plenty
of time for that. Dont wait!
2. Where did you go to high school?
I graduated from DeLand High
School in DeLand, Florida.
3. What is one unknown fact about you
that would surprise your coworkers?
Most dont know that I was a
groom involved in harness racing
for almost 20 years. I have cared
for horses racing in Michigan,
Ohio, Indiana, and Canada. I still
miss the horses so much!
4. What is your favorite food or meal?
Steak, baked sweet potato, and corn
on the cobb right off the grill.

7. If you could travel anywhere, and

money wasnt a concern, where would
you go?
One of those over-water bungalows
you always see in Fiji or French
Polynesia. It would be so relaxing
to be so isolated with nothing to do
and no worries!
8. If you could stay a certain age forever,
what age would you choose?
16. Even though I was stuck in
Florida, my friends and I were
having a great time with no adult
worries or problems yet.
9. What is the hardest thing youve ever
done?
Be a good, responsible adult
without my parents to guide me.
10. What is the most adventurous thing
youve ever done?
Parasailing in Mexico. Im deathly
afraid of heights, but it was so
peaceful.

5. Who has been the biggest influence on

your life?
My parents, of course! They set the

13. What is your favorite sports team?

The Detroit Tigers are my faves.
14. Of what accomplishment are you most
proud?
My ability to remain positive when
bad things happen to me.
15. What was your favorite subject in
school?
TV productions and drama class in
high school. Im also a history buff.
16. What is your favorite cause or
charity?
Multiple Sclerosis. My best friend,
her mom, and two sisters are
afflicted with it.
17. What one word do you think best
describes you?
Friendly.
18. If money wasnt a concern, what one
luxury item would you buy yourself?
A beach house.
19. What do you most like to do with your
free time?
Right now, watch the Tigers.
20. What is your favorite thing about the
Albrecht companies?
The people. Its so nice to come
to work and hear everyones
stories about their lives, kids, and
weekends.

THE REVIEW:

We arrived at Fuddruckers just before noon, and

were able to beat the lunch rush. Its convenient
and close. You order at the counter and then
wait for them to call your number.

Farm Fresh Wednesdays Wednesdays 7/13 9/14 a local Michigan

farmer will be bringing in fresh-picked produce for us. The company is
sponsoring this, so there will be no cost to staff.

Karie: The turkey burger was seasoned well and

fresh. I loved the flavor and it was a lot of food.
I just added shredded lettuce and BBQ sauce to
mine. The meal deal included the burger, fries,
and a drink for about $9.

Riverfront Walk/Run on 6/11/16 In partnership with the CIA, the

company will sponsor 50 percent of the cost to participate in this event.
The cost will be $12 per person, and the CIA will coordinate registration
for this event.

Bill: I had the crispy chicken sandwich with fries.

The sandwich was better than average. The
fries, which are more like wedges, were really
good. I really liked the condiment bar. The best
part: the hot nacho cheese dispenser!

Lunch & Learn Series Kelley Albrecht will present a monthly series
beginning in July. Dates and topics to follow.
Eat Good, Feel Good We will change up the food choices for what we
bring in to include healthy alternatives.
Healthy Blue Extras Remember these benefits are for us too! Check
out the offers and coupons on the member portal of www.bcbsm.com.

WHO AM I? GUESS THE CELEBRITY AND WIN A PRIZE

Use these clues to guess the celebrity. They could be anyone from a tabloid favorite,
star athlete or musician, to a political hopeful or famous name in history. Please
submit your guess via email to Suzanne Edwards by 4:00 p.m. today and we will
pick a winner from all correct responses.

1. I wasnt born there, but Im a citizen of New Zealand.

2. Im known for major accomplishments at a young age.
3. Time magazine called me influential a couple years ago.

Robert: I had the 1/3 pound beef burger, fries,

and a pop. The burger and fries were tastythe
fries being even better when complimented with
the nacho cheese. The futuristic pop machine
was cool because you had so many options.
Andrew: I had the grilled chicken with potato
wedge combo. The chicken had a dry spice
rub and was grilled to perfection. The potato
wedges were better than your run-of-the-mill
French fry. The condiment bar was a nice touch,
as you could enhance your sandwich with many
different sauces and toppings.
Service was quick, and the prices were fair
about the same price as a fast food burger joint,
but better food. If theres one complaint, its that
the seating area is a little cramped, but it didnt
really take away from the experience.
SCORE: 4.5 OUT OF 5 FORKS

4. Im fluent in English and Korean.

5. I took up my vocation at the age of five.
