As a current employee of General Nutrition Company, I am sharing my interest for the

recent job opening for Senior Accountant located at Corporate Offices in Pittsburgh. This was
brought to my attention by the RSD of my store located in region 594, who is also my personal
reference. This position is for a successful organization which I look to pursue my future career
with, using my current experience with the company and expertise in Accounting.
I am currently finishing my Bachelors degree in Accounting at East Stroudsburg
University. This will then lead to a seat in the CPA exam in May. Equipped with this cover letter

I have excelled throughout my college career in all accounting classes. These classes
consisted of work environment responsibilities that an accountant uses in the field. These
responsibilities were simulated through group projects as well as exams. This gave me
experience with accounts receivable, payroll administration, journal entries, bank statement and
accounts receivables.
I have been with GNC in sales at part-time, for my whole college career. Being a current
employee for this company gives me additional knowledge with how the company works and
GNC's mission. This will lead to the understanding of the responsibilities I have and those have
under me. I will be able to relate what I have done in sales for this company, with the accounts I
will be controlling.

Job Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Companys efforts in the areas Financial Planning &
Analysis and budgeting. This role will provide financial / analytical support in both structured and ad
hoc manners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate the annual consolidated budgeting process with all stakeholders

Assist with consolidating quarterly forecast updates from operating units by liaising with
operating unit leaders and analysts

Partner with our internal customs by supporting their evaluation of strategic initiatives,
partnerships, business opportunities and capital investments

Support the development and maintenance of long term financial plans and models

Deliver financial analysis, as required, of major initiatives undertaken by all areas of the
company.

Job Specifications:
4+ years experience in financial analysis or a related role, or an equivalent combination of education
and
Experience.
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. MBA and/or CPA preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment; excellent communication skills, written and
verbal, required to communicate clearly and concisely with executives.

Possess self-motivation, business acumen, in depth analytical skills, strong detail orientation
and execution skills necessary to efficiently and effectively complete projects and manage
priorities in a dynamic environment

Proficient in MS Excel in order to develop analyses, models and reports; Cognos TM1 and
Access proficiency is a plus.

Experience in financial analysis and modeling.
