Cairo and Beijing Tighten Links (27/01/16) Cairo, Egypt

The Chinese head of state visited Cairo on the 20th of January. The visit was completely
symbolic. Celebrating 60 years of Egyptian-Chinese relations. The General Secretary of China
also met with the President of Egypt. They signed several documents strengthening their
partnership. Cairo and Beijing have signed 15 agreements overall. Egypt is trying to expand
their international allies and rebuild its economy. Which is great for China because they have the
funds to help. They also want to conquer Africa. Egypt seems like a good place to start.

Mahajanga - A Boat Sank (09/11/15) Mahajanga, Madagascar


Five people were killed when a heavy swell sunk a boat. Seven people went to the
hospital while seven others were simply scared. Most of the victims had life jackets on. The

incident was caused by a swell that struck the boat while the crew was fixing motor problems.
Passengers that couldnt swim drowned. The Maritime and River Harbour Agency (APMF) and
a trader quickly sent boats to help the victims. The maximum capacity for the vehicle was 12.

I Will Rule Till God Says Come; Mugabe (January 31, 2016) Harare, Zimbabwe
The President of Zimbabwe gave a hour long speech after critics said he has overstayed
in power. I will be there until God says come, but as long as I'm alive I will head the country,
Forward ever, Backward never, he said. Apparently the calls for his resignation were coming
from Europe not democrats. Mugabe also threw some shots at U.S. President Barack Obama.
Most of Zimbabwe seems to be upset at Mugabes everlasting presidency. In 2015 he was out of

Zimbabwe a record total of 44 times. Leaving the already struggling National Treasury lacking
another $60 million.

The Ministry Reassures: No Trace of ZIKA in Morocco (01/30/16) Casablanca, Morocco


The ZIKA virus has not yet reached Morocco and the chances of it spreading are small.
Citizens are being advised to take precautions such as using repellents, covering one's body, and
using mosquito netting at night.. Especially if they are traveling to a country that has reported
cases of the disease. The Ministry of Health is closely monitoring the situation. This virus is
thought to cause birth defects when a pregnant woman is infected; but it has not been proven.

Kenyan Troops Pull Out of Somali Towns After Deadly Attack (January 27,2016)

Islamic extremists quickly move into a town that Kenyan forces had pulled out of
in Southern Somalia. They withdrew after an attack by the extremists who recently
claimed to have killed many peacekeepers. El-Ade, where the attacks happened, is no
man's land now after Kenyan troops withdrew and headed for the Kenyan border. A lot
of places where troops were withdrawing Islamics would move into. There is no word
how many Kenyan troops were killed in El-Ade but the Islamics claim around 100.
