When working at the City of Henderson as a Swim Teacher, I was given the opportunity to work with
many children of all skill levels. Due to my love of working with children, especially those with special
needs, because of this my managers would assign many of the special needs children to my class; several
of which were autistic. Since then I have had the strong desire to work with children to with special needs
and hope to make this my career.
Currently, I am in my last semester of school and will be graduating next spring with my Bachelors of
Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a major in Health and Wellness and a Minor in Psychology. You
will notice that many of the classes I have taken are centered around development, as I enjoy learning
how the body functions and how to help individuals with many different illness.
In 2013 I decided to leave the City of Henderson, and was the hardest decision I had to make. However, I
wanted to focus more on school and the job I am currently at. At this moment I work as an Operations
Manager at a Tree company. Many of my day to day task include communicating with customers outside
of the office, as well as resolving conflicts between coworkers. With that being said I have been able to
solve many problems within the company to help it run smooth and efficiently. During my time here, I
have also had the ability to become more proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and even Access.
With that being said, I have also had the opportunity to learn how to fix various computer related issues,
and have become the computer technician for the company. Lastly, I have been given the opportunity to
learn how to work QuickBooks Pro and at times will help the accounts department with Payroll, Bills,
Taxes, etc
