These are the areas we discussed for you to work on an improve
1. Your stronger presence as a teacher- this means develop your voice
tone, expressions and volume
2. Clearly communicate as a teacher- your expectations, instructions
3. When you explain stage your instructions clearly
4. Manage the group and check all students are in the room to attend
your workshop

This was a workshop that you had planned in your mind but the stages
changed and you seemed to be less confident about what you were going to
do exactly with it. You need to be clear and this is what your preparation is

for. This 3D workshop started well with an introduction in which you gave
a friendly welcome with a clam manner. You used slides to explain the
lesson objectives but it is important
Not to read the slide- if it is necessary can you ask a student and then
repeat or elaborate in your own words
Use your voice for effect and have a stronger presence in the room
Be clearer with your explanations- you need to be very specific and clear
in your language choices- know how you are going to say- write the key
points in your lesson plan that you want to explain- what are the key
words
This was a small group so there was the opportunity to make this a helpful
conversation for learning before you start introducing and using the program.
Remember the introduction should be used to motivate and interest the st who
come to the workshop- It is important you give them a big picture about what
is possible with 3D printing- isnt this an objective for learning&
understanding?
You could talk about what other students have printed? You could show
an example on the slides?
Then ask st questions about what they want to learn- what is their
course?
Also check-in what do they already know?

ENGAGE -Introduction:
I will present my self and introduce for the students what is 3D printer, how it works and its uses. It will be very shortly
described, and show them some 3D printer objects that are printed previously.
Welcome and introduction
Clear voice and friendly manner
Give st some questions so you are more st centered- what do you expect to understand after this workshop? Why did
you choose this workshop? How will it be helpful in your major?
Objectives presented using slide- dont look at desktop and read- ask st to read it. Then use these points to check in
that st understand.
3D printing in classroom- reading from slide- give me another example of its use?
Introduce Tinkercad- dont pause or stop keep lesson flow- dont allow interruptions
Talk through what you are doing 10.10Tinkercad.com- sign up- st asked to talk through what she does
St talking keep everyone focused- pace is very slow 10.14
Interface of the program- problem- teach how to use the program
Not sure where to go- st show you create project
Problem need to troubleshoot quickly always try a new server
PHASE ONE:
Worksheets will be distributed.
I will open the tinkercad.com and ask them
to sign up and if they finish they can start
playing with the application to let their
classmate finish signing up.

Show the student one of the videos
from YouTube, about one of the
designs that will help the students
to think about the designs that
they can create. Then ask them to
start building their designs.
PHASE THREE
I will ask one of the students to come and
start printing in 3D, I will take them out
side to change the routine, I will bring the
3D printer outside because the 3D room is
very small.

model, which is related to what they study,
and they will use it.
