CHAPTER 5

5.1 INTRODUCTION
5.1.1: Block Diagram
This chapter will summarize the software and hardware
implementation process. First of all, in the software
implementation process NI LabVIEW 14 used to build the
program, secondly hardware part consist of NI myRIO (1900),
Drive circuit (PWM), Hybrid Stepper motor (NEMA 23) and an
Optical incremental rotary encoder (Signswise).
5.1.2: Objectives and Targets
Objectives:
This Project is aiming to use a LabVIEW software as user interface
and NI myRIO as an indexer with a PWM drive to control the
stepper motor in order to control a motorized valve for a specific
application. In this work an encoder is used to improve the
performance of the stepper motor.
Targets:
No lost steps, Improve reliability and High accuracy positioning
control.
