Legacy Initiative Job Descriptions


The Legacy Initiative of Utah is an organization that strives to foster a true
community by inspiring members of the community to fight hunger, provide
humanitarian aid, offer friendship, and educate those in the community who
need it most.
Legacy Initiative of Utah does this in a number of ways. Some of our recent
projects include providing meals, warm clothing, and blankets to the
homeless, the creation of a community garden, and providing day-use lockers
for use by the homeless while they look for employment or attend
appointments or clinics.
The organization has need of administrative support. Please see the listing

Treasurer/Accountant
Duties
This position is responsible for handling general bookkeeping and finance
within the organization.
Qualifications
Previous bookkeeping experience
Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping software

Previous non-profit accounting experience


Associates or Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field
(or equivalent)

Grant Writer
Duties
This position is responsible for seeking grant opportunities for the
organization. The position also requires writing the grant proposals on behalf
of the organization.
Qualifications

Excellent writing skills
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Communications, English, Writing or
similar field

Public Relations Lead


Duties
This position is responsible for interactions between the organization and the
media. This includes working with television, print, online and radio media to
provide a positive and successful media presence of the organization. This
position also has responsibility over other members of the organization in
their interactions with the media.

Duties
This position assists the Public Relations Lead to successfully represent the
organization to the media. This can include scheduling with members of the
television, print, online, and/or radio media and other task at the direction of
the Public Relations Lead.

Duties

organizations, and Legacy Initiative. Will deliver and gather feedback, ideas,
plans, and any other information to and from those other groups.

Duties
This position is responsible for the planning and organization of all events,
such as fundraising events, non-profit mixers, etc., in which the organization
is involved. This includes events in which the organization is not the primary
non-profit organization working on an event.

to obtain donation from individuals in the community.
