PrerequisitesforGoodsIssuesinShipping:
ToprocessthegoodsissueviaShipping,thefollowingprerequisitesmustbefulfilled(seealso
viaShipping):

GoodsMovements

InCustomizingforPurchasing,adeliverytypemustbeassignedtothepurchasingdocumenttype.Ifthe
documenttypedoesnothaveadeliverytype,youcanpostthegoodsissueonlyinInventoryManagement.
ThecustomernumberofthereceivingplantmustalsobemaintainedinCustomizingforPurchasing.
IntheCustomizingsystemofSales&Distribution,theshippingpointdeterminationmustbemaintained.
Inthematerialmasterrecord,shippingdatamustbemaintained.
Ifthedocumenttypecontainsadeliverytypebutanotherrequirementismissing(forexample,shippingdata),you
receiveeitherawarningmessageoranerrormessage(dependingonthesystemconfiguration)whenyoutryto
enterthestocktransportorder.
Ifyoureceiveawarningmessage,youcancreatethestocktransportorder,butyoucanpostthegoodsissuefor
thisitemonlyinInventoryManagement.

StockTransferUsingtheStockDeterminationFunction
Ifyouwanttowithdrawmaterialforstocktransfersfromvariousstoragelocationsandstocksaccordingtoa
particularstrategy,theR/3Systemcansupportyouusing StockDetermination.

ThistypeofstocktransfercanonlybecarriedoutinInventoryManagement.NeitherShippingintheissuingplant
norPurchasinginthereceivingplantisinvolvedintheprocess.
Thestocktransferincludesthefollowingprocesses:

1.Agoodsissueintheissuingplant
2.Agoodsreceiptinthereceivingplant
Transferringstockintwostepshasthefollowingcharacteristics:
Thetransferpostingcannotbeplannedbycreatingareservation.
Thequantitypostedfromstockisfirstofallmanagedasstockintransferinthereceivingplant.Onlyonce
thegoodsreceipthasbeenpostedisthequantitypostedtotheunrestrictedusestockofthereceivingplant.
Thisenablesthequantity"ontheroad"tobemonitored.
Thetransferpostingisvaluatedatthevaluationpriceofthematerialintheissuingplant.
Iftheplantsinvolvedbelongtodifferentcompanycodes,thetransferbetweenplantsisalsoatransfer
betweencompanycodes.Inthiscase,thesystemcreatestwoaccountingdocumentswhenthegoodsissue

Purpose
Withthistypeofstocktransfer,thetransferpostingisnotvaluatedatthevaluationpriceofthematerialinthe
issuingplant,butisdefinedinboththeissuingandreceivingplantsusingconditions.
Caution
Stocktransfersthatincludedeliveriesandbillingdocuments/invoicesareonlypossible
betweenplantsbelongingtodifferentcompanycodes.
Ifyouwanttocarryoutacrosscompanycodestocktransportorderwithdeliverybut
withoutabillingdocument,youmustsettheRelevantforBilling(dataelementFKREL)
indicatorinCustomizingoftheitemtypeto"blank"(Notrelevantforbilling).

CharacteristicsofaStockTransferOrder
Thequantitypostedfromthestockoftheissuingplantismanagedneitherintheissuingplantnorinthe
receivingplant.Thequantityisfirstpostedtotheunrestrictedusestockofthereceivingplantinthegoods
receiptposting.Afterthegoodsissuehasbeenposted,thestockoverviewdisplaysthequantitytransferred
asStockintrans.CC.Thisstockisdetermineddynamicallyforstockbalancedisplay.
Withthistransferposting,pricedeterminationiscarriedoutinbothPurchasingandSales&Distribution(SD).
InPurchasing,thepriceofthematerialinquestionisdeterminedintheusualmanner(fromtheinfo
record,forexample).
InSD,pricingisalsocarriedoutasnormalduringthebillingprocess.
Thegoodsmovementsarevaluatedatthepricedeterminedineachcase.
Accountingdocumentsarecreatedforthefollowingtransactions:

StockTransportOrderwithValuatedandNonValuatedSalesOrderStock
Whenenteringgoodsissuesforcrosscompanycodestocktransportorders,youcanworkwithbothvaluatedand
nonvaluatedsalesorderstock(E)usingtheonestepprocedure(movementtype645)andthetwostepprocedure
(movementtype643).IntheMRPviewofthematerialmasterrecord(MRP4)youdeterminethestockfromwhich
materialistobewithdrawnbyselectingtheDependentrequirementsindicatorforindividualandcollective
requirements.Therearethreeoptions:
IndicatorsettoBlank(individualandcollectiverequirements):Materialisremovedfromsalesorderstock
Indicatorsetto1(individualrequirementsonly):Materialisremovedfromsalesorderstock
Indicatorsetto2(collectiverequirementsonly):Materialisremovedfromunrestrictedusestandardstock
