Professional Experience

In May 2014, I became a long term substitute teacher for Heritage Elementary teacher Marcia
Boetsch (former cooperating teacher during student teaching) until the last day of school in June.
On a daily basis I practiced and created math centers, writing units, science experiments, real
world application, behavior management skills, and a variety of other content area lessons with
28 students. Five of the students with special needs required me to transform every lesson to fit
their needs and learning styles. I have also done several long term guest teaching jobs in
kindergarten, fourth grade and fifth grade. I just finished a long term guest teaching in a fourth
grade classroom where I design daily lesson plans aligning with common core, math expressions
(thinkcentral.com),teachtci (social studies), a variety of thinking routines from cultures of
thinking and the new Oakland schools curriculum for reading and writing.

Tutor- 6/2015-present-Students from the Huron Valley School District K-5.
Creating individual lessons to support and teach students in a one on one environment several

Teaching and following written lesson plans and gaining experience in grades K-8 absorbing new
material and teaching strategies. In the past year I have had three long term guest teaching
positions in kindergarten, first grade, second grade and fifth grade in the Huron Valley District.
