Super stars newsletter!

May 1-5

Literacy Inquiry:
Dear Parents:

This week was a remarkable week for


our young super stars! During the
spring show they were able to prove
how they have grown to be the
independent IB learners that had us
all impressed and amazed by their
brilliant performance!
As we approach the final four weeks
of this school year, we have plenty of
activities to look forward to, from
field trips to water day to bubbles
day, our kids will have lots of lovely
moments to cherish as we end this
wonderful school year .

Math Inquiry:

We will be practicing counting till 100 as


well as focusing on our ability to write
numbers from 1-10 in the correct way.

Unit of Inquiry:
Central idea: Expression of ideas and

feelings can be demonstrated creatively


through the arts.
This week we will introduce our final unit
and inquire about what is Art, leading us
to the different forms of Art and that
Art is not only painting and drawing and
that there are many forms of Art.
We will have different Art
activities throughout this unit
to try to clarify this
misconception.

This week we will be focusing on


letter Rr. We will be creating a
rainbow craft , working on our
journals as well as reviewing all the
sight words we have learned this
year.
We will also be focusing on the
ending sounds in different words
to further develop our ability to
sound out words independently.

Wednesday May 18th : Student-led
conferences.
Monday May 19th : field trip to flex
Thursday May 28th : Dress-down day.
May 30th: Students last day of school.

Song on youtube. Also you can
Practice writing numbers from
1-10 in the correct order or identifying
sight words and writing them.
