Introduction
When the class starts, students will be presented with a lecture. The writing steps will be
introduced to them. The students should listen and be able to identify when asked question by the
teacher. After following the presentation, the students will be organized into groups for the
activity. This activity will help the students help each other become even more familiar with the
steps. Then they will be given a worksheet to fill out.

Closure:
Before the class ends, the students need to fill out a worksheet about the topic they will write for
their essay. This will give them a visual of how to start the writing process and what is needed.

Modifications and Accommodations:

o Email notes and the class lecture for further note-taking.
o Use as many examples, pictures, and visuals to help students in another way.
o Have class discussions to get feedback about what is understood and what needs further
explaining.
o Ask the students questions to show if they learned or not.

Evaluations: With the worksheet given to the students, this will show how much they learned
during the lecture. Being that they are able to fill out the worksheet to the best of their ability will
give the indication that they understood the subject and became familiar with the subject of the
writing process.
