2.Model digital
age work and
leanring. A.
Demonstrate
fluency in
technology
systems and the
transfer of current
knowledge to new
technologies and
situations.
Teacher will show
students an
example of a
soundscape on
communitive
property. This will
be to demonstrate
the soundscape
while reviewing
what this property
is.

Apply- Teacher will

implement the new
technology of
soundscapes into the
classroom.

6. Technology
operatonis and
concepts. D.
Transfer current
knowledge to
learning of new
technologies.
Students will create
their own
soundscape based
on what they have
seen in the mentor
ones shown to
them. They will
create one for an
algebraic formula
learned in class and
explain why it works
for that formula.

Create- Students will

plan and design their
own soundscape for
algebra.

1. Facilitate and
inspire student
learning and
creativity. B.
Engage students
in exploring real
world issues and
solving authentic
problems using
digital tools and
resources.
Teachers will
model
soundscapes on
issues and the
solutions to those
problems. They
will have students
explain how they
know what
solution was set in
place and what
was necessary for
the soundscape to
have to show both
the problem and
the solution.

Analyze- Students will

focus on the things in
the soundscape that
made it successful in
telling the audience
both about the
problem and the
solution.

4. Critical thinking,
problem solving,
and decision
making. A. Identify
and define
authentic problems
and significant
questions for
investigatioin.
Students will find a
real life problem
and come up with a
solution. They will
create a
soundscape to help
audience

Evaluate- Students
will test out their
solution ideas in their
soundscape.

2. Design and
develop digital
age learning
experiences and
assessments. A.
Design or adapt
relevant learning
experiences that
incorporate digital
tools and
resources to
promote students
learning and
creativity.
Teachers will show
a soundscape that
is not finished
about the 1920s.
Students will need
to explain why it
is not finished and
what they could
add to it to make
it better.

Analyze-Students will
critique a soundscape
and give feedback on
how to make it better
referring back to what
thye have learned
about soundscapes.

2. Communication
and collaboration. A.
interact,collaborate,
and publish with
peers, experts, or
others employing a
variety of media
and formats.
Students will work
in groups to
research a specific
country and create
a soundscape about
it. They will need ot
include the social
norms of that
country such as the
food, clothing,
music,

Teachers will ask
students to help
come up with a
soundscape about
force and motion.
They will need
students to plan
what type of
sounds would help
the audience
understand the
relationship
between both
force and motion.

Understand- Students
will explain what and
how the sounds help
an audience
understand force and
motion.

Students will be
allowed to connect
two or three

long as they can
explain why and
how this works for
their soundscape.

Other
Reflection:
I had a good time coming up with ideas for using soundscapes. I really liked creating my own and saw a lot of possibilities
in doing so. I think that this week I was really creative and opened up to the different ideas possible for using soundscapes. I like
that they are so easy to transfer into every subject area. I think it is interesting the way that two things that may not seem like
they go together can actually be great to reinforce specific content. I think that this matrix in particular is my favorite just
because I think that I have some pretty great ideas on what I can do in my future classroom with the students. I am glad that I
will have this to look back on as a reference for when I need some ideas. I definitely think that I will be using soundscape in my
classroom and I see a lot of benefits in doing so.
