Apatzingan became the battlefield of Michoacan in 2010. Rodrigo did his report on this
incident because it was the beginning of La Familia Michoacana getting divided. He
mentions how the communities were terrified from all the violence. He also mentions
how there is a lot of people using illegal drugs and that brings in billions of dollars to
these organizations.

Drug cartels are using California gangs to sell their merchandise. New groups are being
created to be violent in communities so they can protect the drugs. He reached out to
Californias Attorney General to ask for his help on his research. He provided several
examples of different gangs getting provided with La Familia Michoacana drugs. Their
gang is turned into the Mexican Mafia in California. This drug smuggling increased the
violence in the streets.

Before someone dies they have a bucket list of things they would want to do. Candy
Chang had many things she wanted to do before she died since she lost someone close
to her. There was a lot of abandon buildings in her community, so she decided to paint
them with chalkboard paint and write the sentence started, Before I Die I Want To...
The next day she saw that people were actually writing on the walls. Weeks later it was
all full, people around the world started doing this. This shows that people actually have
things to do before they die.

The book The Pact it talks about how three teens grew up in rough neighborhoods but
manage to make something out of themselves. They went through a lot of obstacles
throughout the years, two served some jail time and even shanked someone. Their
parents made them go into a good school where they didnt fit in, so they can get the
education that they needed. They all met in high school, they did a pact to attend the
same university.

This website states how drug trafficking comes to the United States and the results of it
being here are bad. It talks about the history of drug trafficking in the states and how the
gangs in America get their hands on the drugs and transfer them around the world. It
shows the different methods that they will use to get the drugs delivered safe and sound

without any trouble. The wars that gangs will have over the drugs because they just
wanted to be the only gang selling.

This website article from Mexico talks about how the cartel got separated and most of
the La Familia Michoacana turned into Los Caballeros Templarios. This was something
big because most of the cartel got divided and some turned into enemies. The new catel
went under new bosses and they controlled most of michoacan, including their
headquarters Nueva Italia and Apantzigan. Also that they have captured one of the
leaders from Los Caballeros Templarios and the other have been killed. So right now
they are fighting for la plaza to see who controls it.

Los Angeles Times did a report on the cartels, and they did their report on the La
Familiar Michoacana. They are guarding their territory so no outsiders can come and
take it away from them. His research showed that they were burning cars and
kidnapping people. They wanted to show this because the cartels wanted to show the
communities that they were in charge.

In this research article the authors wanted us to get an overview of what a Gang term
means. He started of by telling us what it means and how they rose to power. These
organizations were affecting communities and bringing drugs into these neighborhoods
to the adolescents. They are a social problem with the people in the neighborhood
because people are claiming territory thats not even theirs.

the class and how it is being segregated. The wealthy get more rich and the poor go

idea in the states is Race and Gender. Also how people feel nervous when they are
around an upper class for example the rich. The poor people tend to get anxiety.

make a big impact in the world today. She mentions how the Diary of Anne Frank made
her see the world in a new perspective. The book is divided up into chapters. Each
chapter will introduce a new concept on how to change the world. She goes from her
personal experience to adding quotes from other authors.

This article shows that in a group of people there is a discourse community. He shows 6
different ways of distinguishing a discourse community. He goes off on what he thinks a
discourse community is and goes of breaking it down so people can understand the
concept. He made sure to have this topic well searched and organized so that there
wouldnt be any confusion. He used a lot of resources to back his research. The people
need to have common public goals so they can form a discourse community.

This article is about a program that offers help to prevent the people from abusing
drugs. These doctors come together and show evidence to warn adolescents what
these substances can do to you if you take them in. It shows a lot of data with graphs
this shows that they did their research to help out these kids with their inner issues.
