Students will participate in strength building exercises and gain a better understanding for proper form and basic knowledge for
strength training.
Special Planning/Preparations (i.e. safety concerns, etc.): make sure muscles are warmed up enough before increasing weight. Listen
to your body.

Time

Intro-Activity: Students will begin by jogging a lap


around the gym and follow up with some dynamic
stretching.

Warm-up: Students will come together and discuss the


difference between strength and endurance. While
discussing, the group will stretch their upper bodies.

Diverse Needs

Rules: The group will go into the weight room and find 5 Min
a partner. They will then participate in a back and bicep
strength building routine. To warm up, every one will
grab a light weight, and do a light set of bent over rows
to ten.
Activity: The routine that the group will do consists of: 20-25
bent over rows, single arm dumbbell rows, pull ups,

good mornings, standing dumbbell curls, hammer
curls, and ez bar curls. All lifts will be done with 4 sets
of 5 reps.
Ending Activity/Cool-down: To cool down, the class
will come together and begin static stretching.

Closure: After completing the lesson, the class will be


open for any remaining questions and comments.
