Dear Mrs. DiGiovanni,
With a love for kids with disabilities and will to learn, it is a pleasure to submit my resume
for the position of paraprofessional at the Bert Goens Learning Center. Currently I am in a
program at the Van Buren Technology center called the Cadet Teacher Academy, which allows
me to already get experience in Amy Tomlinson's classroom and Kellie Patersons. I would love
to have this job because those students are amazing kids and I would love to have the honor to
work with them.
As a part of the Cadet Teacher Academy, I spend three days a week in either Amys or
Kellies classrooms and am currently taking a physiology class. I also learn about diversity,
classroom management and some activities I can do in the classroom. Additionally, I am familiar
with the home lifestyle of some of these students because I have a family member who has
autism. I am also very familiar with technology along with powerpoint and microsoft word.
I have also had other jobs that make me qualified for this job. I have worked at Wendy's
which has made me more of a people person along with my job at Ajs Surf N Chirp. At AJs Surf
N Chirp I also learned about marketing and money management. This may help with some of
the activities at the Bert Goens Learning Center.
