The History of Panem

The author gives a brief description of how Panem was created; however the
reader does not get the full story. We know from the novel that Panem is in
North America near the Rocky Mountains. What the novel does not tell us is
how North America was destroyed and how Panem developed. Your
assignment is to bridge this gap using any type of written text that you wish.
Ideas to consider when developing the history of Panem:
How did North America End?
How were the districts developed?
The evolution of a class system
Why was the name Panem chosen?

This is a creative writing assignment. Use your imagination to explain to the
reader how Panem became a country. Remember even though we know very
little about how Panem was created, we do know what Panem is like over 74
