Please
consider
me
as
an
applicant
for
your
Editorial/
Writer
Assistant
internship
that
was
posted
on
internships.com.
As
a
second
year
Writing
&
Rhetoric
major
with
minors
in
Leadership
Studies
and
Fashion
Merchandising
&
Design
at
the
University
of
Rhode
Island,
I
find
this
position
fits
my
experience,
interests,
and
career
goals.
After
looking
into
your
company
and
assessing
the
requirements
for
this
position,
I
would
like
to
be
considered
to
be
added
to
your
team.
Within
the
last
year,
I
have
worked
as
a
runway
intern
for
StyleWeek
Northeast,
written
for
CollegeFashionista.com
for
two
consecutive
semesters,
taken
over
as
President
of
the
Fashion
Merchandising
Society,
been
a
photographer/
social
media
intern
for
HerCampus,
and
become
a
freshman
mentor,
all
while
holding
membership
to
other
organizations
such
as
PRSSA
and
maintaining
a
job.
I
am
a
very
well
organized
individual
who
never
fails
to
get
things
done
on
time
and
correctly
without
losing
my
creative
spark.
I
have
managed
to
stay
involved
and
work
towards
the
goal
of
working
the
fashion
industry
through
the
form
of
writing
or
editing
for
a
magazine.
I
believe
that
this
opportunity
to
be
an
assistant
could
transform
my
career
dreams
into
realities.
As
a
sophomore,
I
have
taken
on
many
large
responsibilities
on
and
off
campus
that
have
pushed
me
to
become
a
strong
willed
and
driven
individual.
I
enjoy
writing
and
see
myself
as
a
strong
communicator,
presenter
and
leader.
My
career
goals
are
to
continue
in
the
path
of
my
chosen
major
and
eventually
find
myself
utilizing
what
I
have
learned
in
New
York
City,
primarily
in
the
fields
of
fashion,
pop
culture
and
entertainment.
As
a
student
studying
fashion
and
writing
in
pursuit
of
a
Bachelors
degree,
I
would
be
honored
to
work
as
an
intern
for
you
this
coming
summer.
My
availability
is
from
June
1st
until
the
first
week
of
August
and
I
plan
to
relocate
to
NYC
if
hired.
If
you
find
me
fit
for
the
position,
I
can
be
reached
by
email
at
kaylan_burns@my.uri.edu
or
by
telephone
at
732-
284-0481.
I
look
forward
to
hearing
from
you.
Sincerely,
Kaylan
