In order to provide an adequate environment that allows children to thrive, we must promote and educate the population on the current status of child
wellbeing in America.

I can apply my understanding of ages and stages of child development on a multiple-choice exam and transition into a new unit on child wellbeing.
This means I know how to articulate my notes into my flipbook to use as an aid on an exam.

Get prepared to take your Ages and Stages test!


All you will need is a writing utensil, a piece of paper, and your
flipbook. Your phones are off your desk in your bags. There is
matching, true false, and short answer questions. Take as much
time as you need! Once you have finished you can sit silently until
the rest of your classmates have finished.

Ages and Stages Test
Q.O.D: How does what surrounds us shape us? - Target points to discuss:
early experiences of life literally wire our brain cells together and shape the
architecture of our brain.
Discussion/Introduction to Raising of America
Assign two students to pass out the pretest and What are the Facts sheet to
every student.
Pre-Test: The Raising of America- what are the facts?
Begin Documentary and pass out movie guide sheet.
Read over the discussion questions before beginning the documentary. As
the documentary discusses the questions from the film guide, pause the
movie and address the answer. This will ensure that students are able to
answer the questions thoroughly without missing other information being
presented to them.

Discuss with your tables what information was surprising to you from this
documentary. We will continue watching this next week.
