Shirk is the belief in more than one god or partner to God, considering anything equal or a partner to Allah in worship, which makes one a Mushrik or polytheist. Shirk is an unpardonable sin because Allah created humanity solely to worship Him alone, and considering any other creation as an object of worship goes against this purpose and is the gravest offense to Allah.

Ans. Shirk means partnership. In other words belief in more than one god is called Shirk. In Islamic terminology, to consider anyone/anything to be a partner/ equal/ including in worship of Allah (SWT) is called Shirk. The person who is doing Shirk is called a Mushrik. 10. Why is Shirk an unpardonable sin? Ans. Allah (SWT) has created us to Worship Him. All other creations have been created only for our betterment. But the Mushriks bow down to mere creations other than Allah (SWT). That is why, this is an unpardonable sin.
