I. DESCRIPTION OF CONTENT & CONTENT TYPE (Fact, Procedure, Concept, or
Principle):
Students will understand the three major stages of the water cycle by watching an instructional
video. Students will understand the process of evaporation, condensation and precipitation.
II. LEARNING OUTCOME (Objective):
Students will be able to identify and describe the three processes of the water cycle.

IV. INSTRUCTION
A ENGAGEMENT (Motivational Activity):
Teacher will demonstrate a wet shirt to the students and tell them that it is no longer
good, therefore the teacher will throw it away. Students will suggest for the teacher to put
it outside to dry in the sun. The teacher will then ask the students what happens to the
water on the shirt? Where does it go? Students will work with a partner to share their
thoughts before sharing as a class.
B INSTRUCTIONAL SEQUENCE (Teaching Methodology with Student Activities):
Teacher will show the students a video on the three different process of the water cycle. Teacher
will pause the video to reinforce the academic vocabulary and explain in more detail each
process. Teacher will sing the water cycle song to help the students understand and remember the
process of the water cycle.
